The African Cultural Astronomy Project Goals for 2006

1. Plan the annual meeting of project member to take place in 2007.
2. Formalize our relationship with the International Society for Archaeoastronomy and Astronomy in Culture (ISAAC).
3. Encourage members to submit papers to the Oxford 8 conference which will take place in June 2007 in Lithuania.
4. Fund Raising:
   1. Funds to support the travel of African scholars to Oxford 8.
   2. Funds to support collaborative research projects.
   3. Funds to support the annual meeting of international scholars working on African cultural astronomy.
   4. Funds to support the hiring and training of student assistants.
5. Complete the conference proceedings from the Ghana Eclipse Conference with Springer Press.
6. Curriculum Development
   1. Complete the two K12 lesson plans developed during the K12 Educators Workshop at the Ghana Eclipse Conference
   2. Consider the undergraduate level Ghana Internship syllabus and Cultural Astronomy: Africa syllabus created by Jarita Holbrook.
